It is a proven fact that what you eat has an affect on, not only your overall health, but it has an affect on your outer appearance as well, including your skin. So you ask, “Does eating junk food cause acne?”

It should be noted that “junk” food is not necessarily the cause of acne. However, the benefits of consuming “good” foods can certainly help your skin to be healthy, vibrant, and younger looking.

Here are six “key” food source groups to help promote having healthy, clear skin.

Low-Fat Dairy Products – This is an excellent way to get your vitamin A, which is essential to healthy skin. Vitamin A promotes healthy skin cells.

Blackberries, Blueberries, Strawberries, Beans, and Pecans – These delicious treats have high antioxidant contents, and the benefits of eating these foods are good for your total health, including healthy skin. The antioxidants in these foods can protect the skin cells from free radicals (which can cause cancer), and from cell DNA damage (which causes the skin to deteriorate).

Salmon, Walnuts, Canola Oil, Flax Seed, and Soy Milk – These foods are a good source of the essential fatty acids Omega 3 and Omega 6, and we must have a good balance of both. These foods are also essential for healthy cell membranes. Healthy cell membranes build barriers to keep things that are harmful to the cell out. These membranes also play an important role in serving as a passageway for the cells to receive needed nutrients, and that same passageway allows waste products to get out of the cells. Healthy cell membrane barriers also hold in water that keep your cells moist and your skin looking plump and young.

Whole-wheat Foods, Turkey, Tuna, and Brazil Nuts – These foods are excellent sources of the mineral selenium, which is good for healthy skin cells and fewer breakouts.

Green Tea – This beverage contains polyphenols, which have anti-inflammatory properties, and is very protective to cell membranes. This is a great benefit to overall skin health. Studies show it may also help prevent or reduce skin cancer risks.

Water – The real fountain of youth. Keeping yourself hydrated with plenty of water plays an important role in keeping the skin looking healthy, and also helps to flush out poisons from the body and skin. The human body is made up of 70-80% water. If we do not drink enough, then our cells do not regenerate and remove waste the way they should. This causes poisons and impurities to build up in the cells, which can cause acne, as well as other conditions and even disease.

So you see, here is your answer to the question, “Does junk food cause acne?” Not as long as you don’t over do it and make sure you follow an effective acne facial regimen, and also eat and drink a good, balanced diet to get rid of waste that can cause acne and “bad” skin.

A frustrated guy once said, “The day I get rid of acne, is the day I can finally get a date.” Women were constantly staring at his acne prone skin when he asked them out, and that’s why he thought he got rejected by them. This is a common concern, not just for men, but, for women too. Acne can cause some people to feel insecure and unattractive and they may become withdrawn and live a lonely, unsociable life. They may want to date, but find it difficult to get a date because they are unable to deal with the possibility of rejection or being turned down because of their acne.

Date Jitters and Acne

When you have acne problems, even if you do get a date, you may be a nervous wreck and ruin it because of being so self-conscious about the way you look. You may have stared at yourself in the mirror at all angles and you have probably touched and washed your face numerous times. You try to hide the acne from your date as best you can with long hair or high collars, or you might try to stay in dim lighting or not make too much eye contact. You hope the acne just doesn’t get noticed, but it does and you feel like there’s nothing you can do about it! The effects of the mental and emotional suffering that acne can cause can shatter a person’s confidence and put him or her in a depressed state of mind. And even though adults often experience these negative effects in big numbers, teenagers are more prone to suffering from depression because of acne.

Teenage Acne Prone Skin and Dating

Statistics reported by the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) show that among the millions of people in the United States who suffer with acne prone skin, 20 million are teenagers. These statistics include percentages of teenagers who said they would rather not date someone with acne, and are as follows:

Girls 12-14: 50%

Boys 12-14: 55%

Girls 15-17: 52%

Boys 15-17: 62%

Acne is a major problem for many teenagers and not being able to get a date because of it is like a twist of the knife, so to speak. With the above stats, no wonder some teens are unhappy because they feel like they are ugly and that their peers feel that same way about them.

Adult Acne Prone Skin and Dating

Having acne as an adult can be even more significant than having it as a teenager because you can’t use the excuse, that you have it because you’re a teenager, anymore. And socializing and dating are things to dread if your face is covered with pimples, especially if the date is with someone you haven’t seen in a white, or worse, a blind date. You may just not want to deal with the embarrassment and humiliation, so you find it easier not to date.

Tips to Get a Date with Acne Prone Skin

Show confidence. If you feel like you don’t have any left – fake it. If the you inside projects to the other person that they will have a blast spending time with you, they will be more willing to realize that acne can heal and you are worth being with.

Smile. A smile goes a long way and is contagious. Once you get someone to smile with you, they subconsciously associate a positive vibe with being in your presence.

Cure your acne. It is possible to cure the problems and effects of having acne prone skin. The secret is to be consistent in following an effective acne cure treatment regimen that works for you.

Hello all. My name is Audrey, and I used to have a terrible time with my face because of acne. I didn’t always have it, especially not really bad so I did a great deal of searching the Internet to find out what was causing it. Over the years while searching for the way to cure my acne problems, I came across certain myths about what causes acne. Since I had probably tried just about everything in the universe to try and cure my acne, it did not take me long to figure out what was causing my acne and what was not. Here are some of the myths I heard about that do not cause acne for sure.

What Causes Acne Myth #1 – Masturbation or sex causes acne and bad skin

Now this one beats all to me. It’s not even logical. Where’s the connection? This “cause” has been used to try and discourage young people from having premarital sex.

What Causes Acne Myth #2 – The more you wash your face acne will go away

Washing and washing the face too much can lead to dryness, and cause the skin to become irritated which can cause more breakouts.

What Causes Acne Myth #3 – Acne is only caused by eating “junk” foods

Although there is scientific and medical evidence that eating “good” foods can promote good health (including healthy skin), scientific studies have not produced evidence that there is necessarily a connection between eating “junk” foods and the cause of acne. However, I did eliminate junk food and fast food from my diet and I started eating more healthy foods and my acne got better. So it seems that it’s not so much that “junk” foods cause acne, but rather a deficiency in the benefits of eating “good” foods that contributes to it.

What Causes Acne Myth #4 – Acne comes from being dirty

Acne is formed by shedding skin cells, excessive oil production, and bacteria – not dirt. People without acne are not necessarily “cleaner” than people with acne, but keep in mind that acne-causing bacteria forms under clogged pores. This is why proper and regular skin cleansing is important.

What Causes Acne Myth #5 – Popping pimples will get rid of acne quicker

Wrong! Popping or squeezing pimples only makes the acne bacteria spread, causing more infection in the surrounding areas. This can also lead to more severe spotting and permanent scarring.

So these are some of the myths about why acne is on your face, or neck, or body or wherever it is bothering you, but I would not pay too much attention to these. Even still, it is a good idea to find out why acne does occur and reoccur so that you can take the proper steps to cure it.

And, there’s nothing like being able to stop being embarrassed about bad skin problems.

So you want to know how to get a clear face and acne-free skin? Following is some information and tips for a clear face and what works for acne.

Where does acne come from?

Although acne can be very complex, the causes of it are relatively simple. Basically, acne will come from a combination of the following:

• Irritated hair follicles
• Loosened, dead skin cells
• Overproduction of oil from sebaceous glands under the skin
• Bacterial build up
• Clogged pores

Other factors than can cause acne are:

• Heredity
• Stress (this can make oil glands overact)
• Hormone fluctuations (men and women)
• Some pore clogging cosmetics
• Dirty make-up applicators

So what works for acne?

Following are some clear face tips and information about the first steps to take to get rid of acne problems and get the clear skin you desire. With knowing this information and following through on using an effective acne treatment system, your skin should clear within a week or two.

Clear Face Tips #1: Do a skin analysis

Make a determination about what type of skin you are dealing with. Is your skin dry? Is your skin oily? Do you have a combination of oily and dry skin? Is your skin normal? Or do you have sensitive skin? Knowing what type of skin you have will help you determine what works for acne, blemishes and spots for yourself.

Clear Face Tips #2: Oily skin

Oily skin appears shiny and pores are often big which makes the skin prone to blackheads. If the skin on your face tends to be oily all over, or on certain areas, it is best to use a face wash that is oil-free, and also contains salicylic acid on affected areas. Neutrogena Face Wash is a good product to use for cleansing. Also, using a facial mask helps with oily skin. Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask is great!

Also for oily skin, women make sure you use only oil-free, hypoallergenic makeup products.

Clear Face Tips #3: Dry skin

Dry skin tends to have a tightness to it, and is prone to developing fine wrinkles. For people with dry skin, you will want to use a face wash that will not strip natural oils from your skin. Also, instead of toner, you will need to use a good moisturizing cream. Ponds Dry Skin Cream is good.

Clear Face Tips #4: Combination skin or normal skin

With skin that is combination or normal, you will notice that the pores are not real big or small, but medium sized. This type of skin may also be prone to an oily t-zone, while being more dry on the cheek areas. A good cleansing product to use for combination/normal skin is Murad’s Energizing Pomegranate Cleanser.

Clear Face Tips #5: Sensitive skin

This skin type is very delicate and the pores are very fine. Sensitive skin has a tendency to become inflamed, and also to break out in rashes from allergic reactions. Murad’s Soothing Gel Cleanser may work well for you as a wash.

Also for sensitive skin, ladies make sure you use only hypoallergenic makeup products.

Clear Face Tips #6: Get rid of spots on the face

One of the best ways to get rid of spots is to use fade cream. There are many effective fade creams to choose from and they are relatively inexpensive, and one container usually lasts about 4-6 weeks. Be sure and choose one that is best for your skin type and be sure to follow the instructions on proper use. Also, do not be discouraged if it appears that the spots are not fading at first. It generally takes at least three weeks before you start to see a difference in the appearance of spots. So keep it up! Be persistent. Cocoa butter can also fade spots, but it may take a little longer. Also vitamin E oil can help smooth scars. But, remember, it won’t happen overnight so continue use every day. You will see a difference after a few weeks.

Clear Face Tips #7: Follow an effective regimen for a clear face

Although the above tips for a clear face are good, they do not make up a complete effective facial regimen. To get clear skin, you need to follow a complete acne-free skin care system which includes useful information about your skin condition, diet advice, and a step-by-step routine in order to get the results you need. Cleansing, alone, is not enough.

I’m Audrey Malone and I have been acne-free over 4 years now, and I had cystic acne on my face and I had breakouts on my body and butt too. And you know what? It has all completely cleared, thanks to the system I use. You will find out how to get a clear face too by visiting: http://www.AcneControlTreatment.com

Yes, it is disheartening, go ahead and scream. Just when you thought you had left those pesky acne problems behind with the teenage years, here it rears its ugly head to haunt you in the adult years – but why?

Did you know that, according to the American Academy of Dermatology, adult acne occurs in approximately 80 percent of people in their 20s and 30s? This includes about 17 million people of all ages who suffer with this skin disorder. And, it is a fact that women suffer from acne more often than men. However, adult acne is still a serious widespread problem for men as well.

What Causes Adult Acne?

Acne is the official name for a skin disorder that many refer to as pimples that pop up on our skin and sometimes underneath the skin. So what, exactly, are pimples and what causes them? Well, basically, pimples are skin growths that are comprised of dead skin cells, oil and bacteria which clog pores and cause the hair ducts to become inflamed. These pimples can be in the form of blackheads (bumps that are open to the air, but embedded in the skin and can be black or yellowish in color), or whiteheads (white-colored bumps that are closed). Whiteheads can be very sore, and if they burst, can cause the infection which leads to nodular or cystic acne problems, as well as scarring.

Other factors that can affect that skin and cause acne to be more problematic for women include, stress and hormonal fluctuations (which can make the skin’s oil glands overact), some cosmetics (which can clog pores), and also dirty cosmetic sponges which can harbor bacteria which can lead to acne when used on the face. For men, adult acne can be a bit more severe than that in women because of testosterone levels, men can get acne from hormonal changes as well.

Common Treatment Options

Treatment options are varied and the correct choice for treatment of your acne depends on what type of acne you have and how severe it is. Sometimes acne problems can be treated with topical medications or prescriptions (including antibiotics for more severe cases), but make sure you ask your doctor to inform you of any risks and possible side effects. Natural or home remedies, such as using tea tree oil has worked well for some people. Laser treatments, such as chemical peels, microdermabrasion or resurfacing are also being used to treat acne. But, again, make sure you are made aware of risks and side effects, and be sure to use only a board certified specialist for laser procedures.

Alternative Treatment Options

If you are weary of taking prescription medicine or undergoing laser treatments to try and eliminate your acne, you may consider herbal remedies which have helped countless people to get rid of acne.

Adult acne is arguably the most common skin disorder imaginable. However, all hope is not lost in being acne free, if you follow the right diet and skin care regimen.

I’m Audrey Malone and I have been acne-free for over 4 years now, and you can quickly get rid of your acne too with an acne-free diet and skin care regimen that works just by visiting: AcneControlTreatment.com, a popular site with information on how to get rid of your acne fast and for good.

Darn! It’s bad enough for some people to have to deal with acne breakout problems on the face, but for those of you who suffer with acne constantly breaking out on the buttocks, I feel your pain. And what about that acne’s nerve? I mean, it doesn’t care. It doesn’t discriminate. It has no sympathy. It will affect anyone at any age, race or gender at anytime and anywhere on the body – including the butt.

Pimples on the butt are an annoyance that you are constantly reminded about every time you sit down, or go to the bathroom, or take a shower, or put on a bathing suit, or whatever. They’re just there and you know it and you want them gone. I’m sure it’s disheartening when you find that your butt is sometimes literally covered with zits, even between the butt cheeks at times! These zits are unsightly and embarrassing, and they can also be very sore when they get inflamed – can’t they? And you’ve tried everything to get rid of them. You’ve tried scrubbing and scrubbing them hard and long, you’ve tried popping them, you’ve tried different over-the-counter and prescription medications, you’ve tried eliminating chocolate, just about everything you can think of, but they still seem to hang around.

What Exactly is Acne?

The most common form of acne develops when hair follicles on the skin become blocked with dead skin cells, coupled with the over-production of oil secretion by the sebaceous glands under the skin. When pores are blocked, oil builds up beneath them, causing bacteria to grow and multiply. Because of this, the affected area becomes inflamed and produces acne lesions or pimples in the form of pustules, cysts, whiteheads or blackheads.

What Causes Butt Acne?

The causes of acne on the buttocks vary but some common causes include irritation from non-fragrance free detergents or fabric softeners, stress, hormonal changes (not just women, men can have hormone fluctuations too), or perspiring under tight-fitting clothing. When you perspire with snug clothing on, perspiration from your sweat glands, your natural body oils and bacteria can clog pores and cause acne to start.

#1 “Get Rid of Butt Acne” Mistake

The biggest mistake that you can make when trying to get rid of acne on your rear is to overdo scrubbing the affected areas and not following an effective cure regimen. Do not scrub, scrub, scrub. This will only cause more irritation and encourage the bacteria and infection to spread and to fester.

What Can You Do?

Part of an effective butt acne cure regimen includes gently exfoliating the affected areas, by using a loofah or acne cleansing sponge to lightly wash your bottom, as opposed to abrasively scrubbing it.

Be sure to shower as soon as possible after perspiring heavily. Also, while exercising or doing other physical activities which cause you to sweat, be sure to wear cotton clothing that fits loosely. This will allow your skin to get more air and hinder the development of acne in undesired places, like your behind!

Do not pick or squeeze the pimples on your butt, this will cause them to become infected.

Follow an effective skin care regimen for your behind, just as you would your face. Note, the key word here is effective. So find one that actually works.

Acne or Keratosis Pilaris?

If you have a bunch of red or white bumps all over your butt, and possibly the legs too, that seems to be a little hard pimple rash, but you’re not really sure. It could be a condition called – Keratosis Pilaris. This condition develops when hair follicles become blocked and get inflamed because of the over reproduction of keratin proteins in the skin cells. This causes bumps to develop which usually seem to be worse in the winter months, more so than in the summer months. Also your doctor can prescribe Erythromycin 2% to help with the symptoms, but it probably won’t clear it up completely in most cases. Be sure to inquire about this type of butt acne at your next doctor’s visit.

Like I said earlier, I feel your pain. I’m Audrey Malone and I have been acne-free over 4 years now, and I had cystic acne on my face and I had breakouts on my body and butt too. And you know what? It has all completely cleared. You will find out how you can clear your acne too by visiting: http://AcneControlTreatment.com. You don’t have to suffer anymore.

Get rid of them!

That’s a common cry for people suffering with back acne, or bacne, as it’s sometimes called. But no matter what it’s called, people who have back pimples are just as bothered by it as people who have facial acne problems to deal with. It just goes to show that zits can break out anywhere on the body, at anytime, and the back is an especially vulnerable area for acne breakouts.

Pimples on the back are an annoyance that are, not only extremely sore and painful but, embarrassing and unsightly. You may be ashamed to show your back with visible acne pimples and cysts, and this can seriously affect how you feel about yourself and possibly even your desire to participate in some social activities. After all, who wants to go to, say, a pool party so people can stare at your back boils, bumps and cysts with disgust? Or you may not want to wear v-necks or t-shirts for fear the back acne will show over the top of them. No matter what you do, the main thing is, to get rid of your back acne problems for good you need to follow an effective treatment regimen that will eliminate it and keep it under control.

What Causes Back Acne (Bacne)?

Acne occurs when hair follicles get blocked with dead skin cells, oil and bacteria. The blocked follicles encourage bacteria to multiply, and this produces pimples, pustules, cysts, whiteheads, blackheads or boils on or underneath the skin.

Back acne is also a sign that toxins have built up in your body. One way for the body to eliminate these toxins is through the skin, and the back is a common area which is affected.

#1 “Get Rid of Back Acne” Mistake

The biggest mistake that you can make when trying to get rid of acne on your back is to squeeze the bumps and not following an effective bacne cure treatment regimen. Do not pop pimples or rupture cysts or boils on your back. This will only cause more irritation and encourage the bacteria and infection to spread and to fester.

What Can You Do?

Part of an effective back acne treatment regimen includes gently exfoliating the affected areas, by using a loofah or acne cleansing sponge to lightly wash your back (or have someone else do it). Do this gently but thoroughly, as opposed to abrasively scrubbing it.

Use a body scrub or acne body wash instead of plain soap. Neutrogena Body Clear body scrub or body wash are good products to use, but you may want to try two or three brands to find what works best for you. But, please know that cleansing alone will not cure back acne.

Be sure to shower as soon as possible after perspiring heavily. Also, while exercising or doing other physical activities which cause you to sweat, be sure to wear cotton clothing that fits loosely. This will allow your skin to get more air and hinder the development of acne from sweat and bacteria soaking into the skin.

Eat a balanced, low-fat diet and drink plenty of water. This can’t be stressed enough! Our bodies need the vitamins, nutrients and antioxidants found in “good” foods to function properly, and the skin is no exception being that it is the largest organ of the body. Also, drinking plenty of water helps to flush out toxins in the body that can lead to skin problems all over the body.

Follow an effective skin care treatment for your back, just as you would your face. Note – the key word here is effective. So find one that actually works.

I’m Audrey Malone and I have been acne-free over 4 years now, and I had cystic acne on my face and I had butt acne too. My brother is the one who had the back and chest acne. And you know what? It has all completely cleared for both of us. You will find out how you can clear your acne too by visiting: AcneControlTreatment.com. You don’t have to suffer anymore.

Laser acne treatment is an evolving advancement in dermatology technology that many dermatologists are using to remove different types of skin issues, such as wrinkles, birthmarks, pits in the skin, unwanted hair, as well as acne and acne scars. Although this treatment can offer some relief for these skin issues, the procedure itself is not without its own problems.

How Laser Treatment Works for Acne Removal

In the removal of acne, the laser treatment process differs according to the personal preferences of different individuals. One method of laser treatment is done by using a combination of radio frequency waves and light rays. To remove acne lesions, this process involves the tightening of the skin by the heat from the radio waves, and the killing of bacteria in the skin by the light rays.

Caution

Before considering laser acne treatments for the removal of your acne or laser resurfacing to remove acne scars, do your homework. Because there is no current federal regulation on who can perform laser acne treatment and resurfacing procedures, be sure that you are having the procedure done by a doctor who has been board certified as a laser surgeon. This is not a mom and pop procedure, and could involve stripping away natural skin substances, removing skin layers by erosion, evaporation or even melting, and should be performed under anesthesia by a trained, certified specialist.

Side Effects

Laser acne treatment side effects can include bruising, redness, swelling, loss of skin pigmentation, possible scarring and acne re occurrence.

Costs

Legitimate laser acne treatments are relatively expensive, with a 15-20 minute treatment session priced between $400 and $600, and several sessions may be needed depending on the severity of the acne problem. Also, most insurance plans do not cover the procedure.

Alternatives

Although many people opt to follow through with having some type of laser treatment to try and remove their acne, there are alternatives that are a good idea to try first that are not invasive like laser procedures and are without the side effects. Some acne cure treatment alternatives include natural remedies or various home remedies that have been proven effective. Whatever acne treatment system you decide to try to get rid of acne, make sure you get testimonials from people who have already tried what you are considering. It is always best to hear it “straight from the horse’s mouth” when it comes to getting to the truth and finding something that works for you.

You can get rid of your acne fast with an acne cure treatment alternative to laser treatments by visiting AcneControlTreatment.com – a popular website that offers an effective solution to getting clear skin.
